of research and many attempted prototypes, we have arrived
at the ideal integration of materials and design incorporated
into a unique mat which can be used for every type of yoga,
as well as meditation, Pilates, and other forms of exercise.
The
Sonimat is a 100% natural fibre yoga mat, hand-loomed
in the traditional manner, exclusively for Yoga Universe,
in a small village in India (fair trade/fair labour).
It has been designed as an alternative to PVC or latex
rubber-based sticky mats.
The word "soni" is a Hindi word which means "golden
or beautiful", the perfect thought to inspire your
yoga practice!
Fold your Sonimat for use as a meditation seat.
No dyes
or glues are added, making it environmentally and user-friendly,
and it is machine washable in cold water. The Sonimat can
be placed on top of a sticky mat, or other tacky
surface, to avoid possible
skidding on wooden or linoleum
floors.
